Last week was PACKED with wonderful moments. Not only were we still on cloud nine after the Lafetki party and all the wonderful emotions we shared together, but absolutely every single day we received orders for Lafetki and gained new supporters for the campaign. We tried to write personal thank-you messages to everyone, but we didn’t get very far, because almost every thank-you message was followed by a conversation about how we could further develop Lafetki, who they could introduce us to, where they could arrange a stand for us, and so on.
We decided to take this as a sign that we’re on the right track. 🚀
Thanks to your support, this week we filed the Lafetki trademark application. This helps us protect the idea and lay the groundwork for intellectual property. ™️
We’re also considering a new printing method for Lafetki, which would allow us to do everything ourselves, as well as experiment with sizes, colours and designs. Our current print is limited to black ink, 33/33cm in size, and only on white napkins. We’d really love to have black napkins with white print, as well as cocktail Lafetkis for bars and clubs. 🥂
On Sunday, Vicky from our team has been invited to visit the Sci-High Festival, where she’ll tell people about Lafetki and we’ll discuss the idea of making some nerdy Lafetki with science questions 🤓
And outside of Lafetki, today Vesi from our team visited the Work School run by the Give Time Foundation to get a feel for what training they offer and how it is conducted. Vesi has many years of experience in corporate training and is keen to use this experience to deliver training in social skills and emotional intelligence for young people from the Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration.
And finally, I’ll quote a friend who supported Lafetki; when I thanked him for believing in the idea—a belief that makes me feel as though I’m not mad—he replied:
You are mad! But you’re not alone! I hope there will be more and more of us who are mad in this way ![]()
