Following our appearance on national television, we were contacted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. They believe that Lafetki is a worthy social cause, and we are trying to arrange a meeting to discuss how they can support us.
We plan to apply for funding under a European programme and to employ a young person with a disability who, with the help of an occupational therapist, will be able to adapt to the work process. We want the packaging of Lafetki to be carried out precisely in this way – as a genuine job and an opportunity to develop skills.
We’re also working on a financial model. We want to be an organisation with proper accounts, which makes a profit from its product with the sole aim of employing more people with disabilities and paying them a decent wage. 💪
In the meantime, we’re finalising two new series – ‘Eye to Eye’ and ‘Family Chronicles’ – along with the design of their labels.
We’re also looking for distribution partners. If you have an idea or are involved in decision-making at a retail outlet, please get in touch. ✉️
This autumn and winter, we’ll be taking part in charity bazaars. More details to follow soon.
We’re certainly not bored, but we believe in our product and our cause. 💛
